I never worked in Silicone Valley, on a S/38, or an IBM alpha or beta project.However I worked on first customer to ever buy some IBM products on certain platforms, on AS/36 S/36 S/34 and bunch of earlier ones ... I think the first IBM platform I ever worked on was a 1440 or a 1620 (back in the punched card and paper tape era), then I graduated to a box that was managed using wiring boards that did what today we now call programs.
Yeah,but did he ever work in Silicon Valley? On a S/38? I don't think he's quite that old............. :-)) I, on the other hand, worked on the S/38 project back in the 80's (pre-Silverlake) --
