I heartily recommend looking at the disk/HUNTER product from Centerfield Technology - it is a real-time low-impact disk space monitor that can help determine what is causing reduction in disk free space. They just enhanced it to send email messages. It typically wakes up every 15 seconds. It can be set to notify you for relatively small changes such as you have described. I used to work there - in fact, wrote the early version of this utility. Go to www.centerfieldtechnology.com to check it out. I'd get in the habit of running the RTVDSKINF / PRTDSKINF *SYS combo on a weekly basis. I looked all over for anything which might look like the culprit, bought found nothing recent. I did delete some old 2002 files which brought it down to about 60.5 %, where it stayed until last night's IPL. Today we are at a low of 56.4 - which is great! But, we IPL every 2 weeks, and I can't imagine what might have been there before that IPL, but GONE today after it??? We did have an extended power outage between the two IPLs, but I believe the system shut down normally after the 600 seconds had expired. Thanks, Don Don F.
