Check out the RJS batch report server at www.rjssoftware.com   I've got a 
client doing exactly what you want to do, except they store the reports in 
the IFS. At the end of each year, they burn the reports to CD's and keep 
one copy in a safe deposit box. Another copy is handed to their auditors. 

This is a low cost solution to a big problem.
