Walden,

The red book Integrating DB2 Universal Database for iSeries with Microsoft ADO .NET-sg246440.pdf section 4.2.4 Unsupported features and suggest user to use the unsupport function by previous OLE DB driver, and the document always state not tested. I know it can run the IBM OLEDB driver under .Net, but it's no any benefit under .NET environment. IBM should release new version to replace the client access express tools kit under .NET environment, not just release only for data provider exclude all other iseres native function which support on MS old tech. If IBM no any plan to enhance their .NET product, just announce to user, let user can choose old MS tech or other new tools like ANSA tools. IBM shouldn't let user hoping new version will be released or under constructing. Please IBM give user future plan about .NET suppport. IBM always did stupid things, Java is everything now in IBM about programming. IBM never care about loyal customer requirement.

Best regards,

Vengoal

Vengoal,

I (obviously) can't speak for the plan's IBM may or may not have, but
remember you can always call a stored proc through the .NET provider to
do any of those things, or, of course, use the OLEDB driver.
