RE: Merging Files

I have used SQL views several times in RPG programs with no ill affects.
The down side is that you can't sort the data.  If sequencing is an
issue you will need a select over the view to get the sequence you want.

If this was SQL you could do it with a UNION, maybe you could
define a view that was the union of all of the files in
question and then do your reads against that? I honestly
don't know who well RPG F spec work with SQL views.
