RPC Call to Iseries from Windows 200X Based Server.

I have a project to where I need a program on a Windows 200X based
server to do an RPC Call to the iSeries to let it know to prepare data
for a download.

I have no idea of how to even start this. Any good tutorials or examples
on this?

Also I have already told you more that I know about this subject.
