I'll echo the sentiment that it varies by what the software is. I think that what is more important, however, is what the installed programs and files have as the default owner. A lot of packages may require QSECOFR to install, but then create a new user and have the new profile be the owner of the programs/files installed. This is much different from a package that installs all of its programs/files with QSECOFR as the owner. That I find totally unacceptable: a very few programs might need QSECOFR as owner (for example, some of TAATOOLS programs, etc.), but that should not and cannot be the norm.
