to Joe and Paul... I think I found peace with the globalization promoterswhen i realized that the people making the decisions just don't care about the middle to bottom half of this country. If Microsoft or IBM or any other global company can sell billions of dollars more in equipment, services, and software, and only lay off tens or hundreds of thousands or even millions of US workers -- they will do it, and not break a sweat. All the theories in the world get thrown out if it's a simple as "make more money" and "not my problem". If you want to direct your anger at someone, ask why our government (spending our taxes) will say we need to train people for 21st century jobs then cut Education spending... or open a jobs training program...run it for a while...then kill it quietly when many more need retraining, or open more H1B visa slots when many are out of work here.... btw - the newspeak of this year is "individual responsibility" which in many cases means your tax dollars are going to big companies and not to individual benefits (like retirement, your existing pension, healthcare, etc) jim
