You should go to InfoCenter - I looked at the V5R4 version. www.iseries.ibm.com/infocenter

For one, go to the "Networking" link, then "TCP/IP applications, protocols, and services", then "FTP", then "Troubleshoot FTP".

There's also the "TCP/IP troubleshooting" link under "Networking" for a more general discussion.

I've left out any direct links because I think it is a good think to rummage around the InfoCenter stuff.
