Hi Brad,65535 is the system default meaning 'no translation'. What do your system values say? e.g. QCCSID? and there are other system values that work with this info....

I was under the impression that when you issue a CRTPF (no DDS, just specifying record length) that the CCSID of the file would be the job CCSID. I have a case where a user has job ccsid and default ccsid f 935 (trad chinese). When they issue CRTPF it creates the PF with a ccsid of 65535. Any ideas? I have to be missing something here. :) Brad --This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing listTo post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
