I, and others, have had this in the recent past.
Anyone have an idea what may be causing this? See also,

As the technote suggests, a reboot often clears the situation.

I experienced this for the first time about two weeks ago. A single reboot
took care of the problem.

Today, I took the time to research the issue, including finding this thread
and checking Rob's link to the IBM technote. Based on that, I opened up the
task manager and found a process called PSADataProducer.exe that has been
running since I rebooted 45 minutes earlier. The CPU usage on this thing
hasn't dropped below 93% since I've been watching it for about 10 minutes.
Google on PSADataProducer turns up zero. I search for the file on my PC and
find it in the C:\Program Files\xerox\XDMJobTracking folder. We use Xerox
printers in our shop (FWIW, for producing forms using Doc1 software). I
ended the process. Did not solve problem. Rebooted, but have same problem
with iSeries Access. While PSADataProducer is again in the process list,
along with several other PSA* programs from Xerox, it/they are taking zero
CPU cycles.

So I tried powering down, waiting the requisite 30 seconds or so, power up.
Same problem with iSeries Access. I am officially dead in the water. Will
keep powering down/up until resolved.

3 hours shot this a.m., but am finally up and running again.
(Aforementioned PSA* processes are there and taking zero CPU cycles.)
That'll teach me for coming in so early! %$@#!!!
