Thanks Paul (and to everybody else). I'm getting the hang of this. I'm finding success using your idea but with a different value for ASCIIFNT to get a courier 10 cpi font. Between the Workstation Customization and Printer Device Programming manuals I'm finding the specific values that I want. Now, I just need to find the values to adjust the vertical spacing between the lines because they appear to have no space between them. I also need to adjust the horizontal and vertical page size because it's cutting off the output where it thinks that the page ends. There were some suggestions to "change the printer file". Basically, I wanted an output queue to print 10 cpi regardless of what program, query, etc. generated it so a WSCST object was pretty much the only option that I saw. Note that the standard font size statements have been turned into comments.: :CPICOR CPI=15 /* ASCIIFNT= 255 */ ASCIIFNT= 281 /* FNTWTH= 84 */ FNTWTH= 72 FNTATR= 1 DATA =''X. -- Paul Nelson Arbor Solutions, Inc. 708-670-6978 Cell pnelson@xxxxxxxxxx daparnin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 05/22/2006 12:18 PM Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx cc Subject Larger Fonts I'm looking for advice about workstation customizing objects and font groups. Over the weekend we migrated from a 720 to a 570 and a twinax line printer bit the dust (by design). The users want another option to get some of their reports in the font size that they are accustomed to. They have a copier available with large paper and I can get it to pull from the correct drawer and rotate the output from portrait to landscape but I can't seem to affect the font size. I've removed the CPICOR stuff but nothing I've tried with font groups seems to affect the font size. I've been referencing tech documents 8690003 and 8693040 but something isn't getting through to my brain. Any ideas?
