Hi Dave, I just helped a customer with this issue. If you change the degree of page rotation value in your printer file from *AUTO to 90, your IBM host will maintain the original spool file attributes while printing in landscape orientation. You may need to consider changing the LPI or overflow line depending upon the unprintable margins used by the printer in the vertical dimension.
