Ok, thanks. I'm not sure why Mimix is out of the mix but it could be due to
price...even though I've heard they're trying their best to stay competetive.

Hi,

First of all, let me say that I am a MIMIX remarketer, so as this is
between two other vendors, I can speak impartially. Vision is "cluster
proven", which iTera is not.
Vision, Lakeview (MIMIX) and DataMirror all handle replication "the old
way", which is to say that they have the capability of depositing the image
on the local journal, sending it to the target box, and then applying.
With that said, iTera hit the market place and capitalized on remote
journaling, which allowed them to create a less expensive solution. All of
the other vendors have stepped up to remote journaling as well, which is
what you want do to.

iTera clearly wins the award for the most clever marketer in this market
place.

To be honest with you, I picked MIMIX because all of the developers are
ex-IBMers, and they all have relationships with existing IBM developers.
They are also the only vendor (to my knowledge) with the capability of
handling bidirectional replication and keyed replication.

Both vendors have different levels of product they offer.
Which are you comparing to which?
Next is the what are your needs or trying to accomplish questions.
