** UPDATE ** After several weeks of trying, we were finally able to get through to someone at Lawson who gave us a straight answer. To summarize what we were told: 1. All the third parties are pretty much OK with V5R4. 2. A critical SQL issue from IBM has been identified and IBM now has an OS/400 V5R4 PTF available which will be required to run Lawson. 3. They are currently looking at another IBM issue that causes an error in displaying reports in Portal and hoping IBM will have a quick fix for this also. It might also be possible for Lawson to create a "workaround" to get around this IBM issue. 4. They're looking for V5R4 certification to occur in the next couple of weeks. So, it looks like we will be able to upgrade our existing 520 to V5R4 and order our new one with V5R4 and iSCSI instead of IXAs. Using iSCSI should save us 10K or more. Thanks y'all for your replies. Kind regards, BJ
