I am currently having a problem with PING. When I PING a hostname that is not set up in our Host Table, such as www.yahoo.com, the AS400 is not using our network DNS to go out and get the IP address. What it gives me is the following message: "PING GETADDRINFO(): The name could not be resolved at this time. Future attempts may succeed. (1).". How do I set up our AS400 to use our DNS if something is not found in the Host Table? I tried putting in our local DNS entries into the CHGTCPDMN command INTNETADR parameter but still have the same problem. HELP! Thanks Nick Franco
