I figured that would raise your ire Trevor :) I was just stating a pet peeve of mine to comisserate with the poster I was responding to. I fully agree that it's bad design that's at fault be it 5250 or gui. Actually I'm right now creating a 5250 app that is as 'hands-off keyboard' as much as possible and as mouse friendly as possible just to show it can be done. I'm also knee deep in cgidev2. My goal is to take 20+ years of development and create applications that provide the best of both 5250 and gui and make it browser based (and ajax is really becoming a big part of the effort). My regard for 'gui' is that it must be browser based since that is the least expensive, most familiar medium for my users.
