There is a DELAY option on the RCVJRNE command which may suit your needs. If your RCVJRNE command is in a CL program which is submitted to batch, then, if the CL program ends before you want it to, the last instructions in the CLP can be to resubmit itself.

If this isn't what you want, please ask again because it may be a problem that I have not yet encountered.

We have a problem with the program ending when it processed the last
entry. We use a CL with a delay to loop back and call the RPG. How do
you get your RPG to wait for the next entry? This wait can be a couple
of hours or a couple of seconds.

Subject: High availabilitiy (was: Applying remote journals ...)

I recently asked for advice on applying remote journals on target
systems. In the end, I decided to write my own exit program for the
RCVJRNE command. This was a simpler tsk than I had anticipated and this
works fine. Before I put it into production, I need to make sure that
it can cope with all the "little" things that can go wrong.

If anyone is using any high availability system, whether a package or
home grown, and could advise me of the problems that they have
experienced and of any other problems that they think that I should
watch out for, I would be very grateful.
