A few questions..

1. What is the email setup? There are a lot of possible
configurations... for example:

- Gumbo uses the ibm smtp server to send mails
- gumbo uses the ibm smtp server to send emails using a
mail relay (perhaps domino is the relay?)
- gumbo uses domino to send emails
- gumbo uses domino to send emails using a separate
corporate mail router
- gumbo uses it's own apis to send emails
- gumbo uses it's own apis to send emails using a mail
router (either domino or a different corporate mail router)

2. Is domino on the iseries or another box or the
iSeries.. if on the iseries, are you running dual stack
(ibm smtp server and domino running at the same time)

3. What do you mean by "using the server name" and "using
the ip address"? Is this on a gumbo command? Or on a to
or from email address?

4. why wouldn't the email have a "server name" on it? (I
am assuming this is on the EHLO/HELO portion of the email
communications, in which case it shouldn't change)

5. have you tried gumbo support?

There are a lot of questions to be answered before someone
can make a logical guess at the problem. I author similar
software and have similar support issues, but they're
normally easily cleared up.

But, explaining your email setup in full will help and be
the best starting point, along with contacting gumbo as i'm
sure they've dealt with this before.
