CRTDUPOBJ vs. option 3 on WRKOBJPDM -- MIDRANGE-L

What is the difference between CRTDUPOBJ and option 3 (Copy) on the 
WRKOBJPDM panel?  I know that option 3 on WRKOBJ does a CRTDUPOBJ (it says 
so right on the screen) but option 3 on WRKOBJPDM does a 'Copy Objects' 
which does not appear to be accessible from a command line.

Why do I want to know?  A consultant claims that the two are different and I 
don't believe him!
