RE: Telnet from a PC to Iseries



I can see my IP address connect to the Iseries in question using the
NETSTAT command, but I never get a login screen.  What am I missing??
Okay, then you ARE connecting, it's just not sending you a signon screen. Have you tried pressing ENTER in the telnet window?
Or, maybe the QAUTOVRT system value is set to not automatically create new devices? So you'd need to create with attributes that are compatible with an existing device (and therefore VT100 clients fail where 5250 clients succeed?)
Or, maybe there's an exit program that's somehow preventing the creation of a VT100 devd or blocking VT100 connections?
