subfile prob- need some help -- MIDRANGE-L

   i am using a single page subfile  (page by page)..
     now when page down or page up keys are pressed.
     i want the  records selected by the user to  by placing
     2 or 4 in the option colomn....to  
     remain on the screen ... i have never done it before i have a confusion..
     because when page down or page up is pressed . the subfile is rebuild.
     and the options selected by keing in the option colomn ..i dont know how 
to do this.
     can any one give me the solution..
