Glenn,

you talking lower hotel rates? Let's see, last conference I was at the full conference I had a fully furnished 3 b/r suite, living room, dining room kitchen(all fully furnished and I like to cook when I have the time), washer/dryer, jacuzzi's in every tub...for the whole week at I think somewhere around $400. You can do better than that in Vegas? Let me know where... :) I'm ready to go back to Orlando... :) And, I'll be there for the tech conf in a couple weeks at the same place.... :)

The only problem that I have with some of the conferences mentioned in the lists posted is the ones that MANDATE where you have to stay in terms of hotels. Other than COMMON, I don't go to any conference that mandates where I have to stay(AS/400, unix, - all conferences), and with COMMON I pay the nuisance tax and still save ALOT of money...and the reason is that ** I ** am the one footing the bill for my COMMON attendance...not some company....ergo, I have to watch expenses, especially with the ixx market being as bad in mid atlantic as it is.

Depending on the city I am up in the air on free evenings. More free time
LasVegas would welcome us at lower rates :-)
