No they didnt.  IBM is investing in the parts of the system that
overlap the p5. PHP is a welcome addition but I will be pleasantly
surprised if it integrates with anything other than DB2 in i5/os.  For
example, will PHP be able to call into RPG code that does not support
multi threading? I dont mind being proven wrong if PHP does integrate
with RPG.  It is IBM's decision to price Linux partitions on the p5 at
1/3 the price of the same performance Linux partition on the i5.
