Is i5/OS so much more costly to maintain than AIX? I cant figure out
why IBM does not simply sell one PPC based system with a base
hypervisor OS. Then allow the customer to run i5/OS, AIX and Linux
partitions of their choice.

When did the break in pricing parity between the p5 and i5 occur? The
p5 was announced last summer, was that when IBM started selling that
system for so much less than the iSeries? Did Bingaman leave because
he was told the iSeries could not cut its prices and compete like it
had been doing?
