SQL Update from another system

Good morning all,

 

I have 2 iSeries at V5R3.   I want to do a SQL select from a file on
iSeries A to update a file on iSeries B.   I have the RDBDIRE set up and
can connect from one system to another using Connect to PRODUCTION user
USERNAME using PASSWORD.  I can then select on any file I want to on
production but cannot do a single select over both databases at one time
like

 

Select 

* 

from 

Production.Library.File1 A

Join Development.Library.File2 B on A.Fielda = B.Fieldb

 

Is there a way to do this?
