You could use Scott Klement's FTPAPI in an RPG program. Takes a little work, but the examples given are fairly straightforward. You could get a current timestamp with %TIME, for example, and rename the file as its downloaded (one of the examples Scott has is simulating an MGET by retrieving a catalog of the files on the remote server into an array - I have my program renaming them on the fly as they are downloaded). http://www.scottklement.com/ftpapi/ Francis Lapeyre IS Dept. Way back you could use sunique, but by some reason this is no longer supported. I've tried sunique with an i5 as a client and it works like a charm. Any hints?? /Joakim ________________________________________________________________________ _____ Joakim Lindbom Capgemini Sweden There are 10 kinds of people; those who can read binary and those who can not.
