Actually you're correct that I am covering the Grasshopper stuff. I won't be covering this in the high level class, but what I like about it is that you can create classes in VB or C# that compile down to standard JAR files, so the same classes can be used in Java or JSP. In fact the DB driver being used to talk to the iSeries will be good old stable/fast JT400. You can also use Java classes in Visual Studio as well. Talk about going both ways :-) The other nice thing is that Grasshopper is FREE for companies deploying in a small workgroup environment via Tomcat. If you're going to be at COMMON, let's catch up. It's a pretty cool deployment of Mono. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure I'd want to bet my business on Mono and Mainsoft. It's definitely something to dabble with, but my guess is that they won't work and play well with Vista for some time; it's taken them this long to create something that works with the current .NET framework.
