Doug, really depends what workload your apps are going to put on websphere, but look to have at least 1-2 Gb of memory per websphere instance if you want anything approaching decent performance, the more memory the better. One thing to remember is if your apps are going to hit the database hard, your gonna need more memory on your database partition, as those database server jobs are gonna need memory too cheers Colin.W On 19/03/06, Doug Hart <DougHart@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > I'm building a new v5r3 partition to run among other things Websphere. > What is the recommended CPW and memory to support Websphere? > > -- > Doug Hart > > > > -- > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing > list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. > >
