I have an ifs file with a ccsid of 37. When I use EDTF it looks like: ....+....1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5....+....6....+....7....+....8....+....9....+....0 ************Beginning of data************** console_GDI_2006_03_16@xxxxxxxxxxxx [346774:04131:00002-000001BC] Lotus Domino (r) Server, Release 6.5.4FP1, June 19, 2005 Copyright (c) IBM Corporation 1987, 2005. All Rights Reserved. [04132:00002-000001A8] 03/16/2006 20:09:35 FileRet: Deleted 'SEMDEBUG_GDI_2006_02_14@xxxxxxxxxxxx' [04132:00002-000001A8] 03/16/2006 20:09:57 FileRet: Deleted 'console_GDI_2006_02_14@xxxxxxxxxxxx' ... Basically, like it has a CRLF or some such animal. However, when I either use iNav to drag it to a folder on my pc, or use ftp in ascii mode, either way looks like no CRLF. Wait! When I pasted the results from Notepad to here it looks good. What's going on? I'll open it in Wordpad instead of Notepad. That looks ok now. Lesson learned: Use Wordpad instead of Notepad in such a situation. Kind of solved it myself while typing this up but I thought I'd share with you all. Rob Berendt
