Rob,

I think I've said something via email to Mark. I know that Chris will
be down here on 4/12 to meet with Mark. Perhaps with him, I, and Darryl
P. in a room we can reiterate.

I attended a ITIL Tivoli thing in NYC a few months ago and put the lack
of OS/400 support as a barrier to further implementations on their
questionnaire.....of course I never heard squat back.

The issue I have is that we are light users of Linux and in all honesty
the thought of becoming heavy users is not something I look forward to.
I'm not bashing Linux (at least in this thread), it's an issue of time,
people, and cost. And there is always a cost associated with
implementing new servers or partitions. It's not something we take
lightly - I argue with my boss constantly about limiting partitions and
servers. Just because you can do it doesn't mean that you should....

I wonder if we should try to bring together more people who have an
issue with this....for those attending Common and possibly something
beyond that?

Mike

Mike,

I don't know. You can bet that my boss has talked to Mark about it
already. I think my boss is about to accept defeat. If he can find
more
who care...
