Yes exactly the same I know because we use netserver and they have to be to use those mapped drives as well. The part that confuses me is that it works on the NT box but no other non-NT box. I looked and those shares are the same in authority. Everyone has full access. I picked those to test on because of that. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bill Meecham Sent: Friday, March 17, 2006 5:54 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: QNTC Your user name and password are the same on both the midrange and mapped drive in QNTC? As far as I know they need to match exactly. ----- Original Message ----- From: Karl <mailto:klauritzen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Lauritzen Jr. To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 17, 2006 4:55 PM Subject: QNTC V5R2 iSeries 810 I can see an NT boxes shares but not shares on any Windows 2003 servers. Shares are created a like and I have authority on 2003 server just like NT server. Both are servers in my domain and subnet but not in the 400. Netsvr has my domain and Wins correctly. I also tried crtdir and it fails with the wonderful 3464 error. I have searched this archive and find no reason anyone states it has to be NT. Can you not see any 2003 server shares or is there I trick I cannot find? I am wanting to connect to windows servers from 400 to move my images to a SAN or a Windows server disk. <https://www.natlloyds.com/ <https://www.natlloyds.com/> > <https://www.american-summit.com/ <https://www.american-summit.com/> > Executive Vice President Chief Information Officer and Director of Product Development Fax 503-218-6568 Cell 254-717-6960 800-749-6419 Extension 129 -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
