I will make a few assumptions here.
- both server are on the same network (no need for VPN and the like)
- The Iseries can ping the IP adress of the remote server
- the Iseries is already correctly configure tu use TCP-IP
- you do not have an internal DSN server (if you do then you dont need
to add any entry on the Iseries)

I will give you the green screen steps (I am sure you could do the same
with op nav.)
- CFGTCP
- option 10 (Work with TCP/IP host table entries)
- option 1 (add) you supply the IP adress of the remote server
- You then enter the host name (like rmtsrc.mydomain.com)

That's it
