I just ordered the CD's online. Say you want them for application to
multiple system via FTP or Mail with FTP max size = to 100MB, the
smallest they have in the drop down. Lasted set of all groups is being
mailed. I have 4 server to apply them to and not enough DASD on two
boxes for Virtual Optical. FTP takes way to long and I hate having to
order for each individual box and FTP download. I have not been able to
install on system "A" and then send with MGTC to the others. When going
from Virtual Optical or CD you do not get the necessary save files for
the replication.

Subject: Re: Fix Central FTP Server

Joel,

A few weeks ago I tried ordering the latest CUME and Group PTF's at fix
central and I couldn't "trick" the application into sending me the
CD's. I was at a customer site Alaska where download speeds were
averaging 56kbps. It insisted on building the FTP distribution. So, I
made copies of another customer's CD's and took them up with me on my
next visit. There must be a method for ordering CD's but I sure
couldn't find a way to do that online. I guess I'll have to start
calling IBM support again to order the CD's.

If there is an online way to do this, I'd love to hear it.
