Not after reading this: Do not select to have the detached journal receiver deleted if you might need it for recovery or if you want to save it before it is deleted. The system does not save the journal receiver before deleting it. The system does not issue the warning message (CPA7025) that it sends if a user tries to delete a receiver that has not been saved. The program I wrote checks 1 - That it has been saved. 2 - That it has been detached for 'x' number of days. Some receivers are there for security purposes. Yes Sammy did maintenance on the EMPLRAT file on his record. And the 'before' payrate was significantly less then the 'after' payrate. YEARS ago we had a payroll clerk who was taught UPDDTA and did a fine job of 'fixing' the direct deposit file prior to saving on tape for transportation to the bank. She was let go after it was discovered she was fixing it for her benefit. The analyst assigned to payroll got called on the carpet by the VP admin and just reamed. Practically accused of being in cahoots. I felt sorry for the guy. He found a different job and left. Not that any better job of security is being done. Well, maybe a few journal entries are set up.
