Hi RobI hate to nitpick, but wouldn't it be more more accurate to say that there is no support for the i5 to operate as a TSM server ?
While I can understand that this is pretty annoying, it seems to me that support for a TSM client only is a far cry from *NO* TSM support
Regards Evan Harris P.S. I know that BRMS is not actually a TSM client strictly speaking... At 10:16 a.m. 24/02/2006, you wrote:
As you can see, according to http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=663&context=SSGSG7&uid=swg21107361&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en there will be no TSM support for V5R4 of i5/os. I asked if the referenced URL is simply out of date, or if there will be no support for V5R4. There will be no TSM support for V5R4. "Vexed" is too nice of a word for our attitude. This link should be updated to reflect this: http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/support/iseries/planning/upgrade/v5r4/software.html I've submitted a website feed back on it. I've talked to some contacts at IBM. My boss will be talking to IBM execs. And we almost upgraded that lpar to V5R4 the other weekend... Don't you feel you got quite a deal when you purchased the Enterprise package with your i5 and got TSM? (Although I think it's been dropped from the newer packages.)
