No, I was just being dim-witted. I really should remember never to post
before noon.

I was accustomed to drilling down through database and libraries, and
when I looked under "Databases", I found our database, but expanding it
only revealed some bits about schemas and navigator maps and such. No
libraries or files. So I was disoriented. So after posting here, I
finally right-clicked on my database and there was all the functionality
I thought I was missing.

Still, IBM ought to update their help text for Iseries Navigator. It's
there in the help text for the Database Navigator, but that didn't help
much when I couldn't find the Database Navigator, and didn't even know
it was there.

Thanks.

|Run SQL Scripts in Iseries Navigator V5R3

|
|We've been on V5R3 for some time now, and I don't think I've tried to
|use the Run SQL Scripts function since before the upgrade, and now I
|can't find it.
|
|
|
|I used to drill down through Database, Libraries, and select a file,
and
|a hyperlink would show up at the bottom of the screen which I could
|click to open the Run SQL Scripts dialog.
|
|
|
|Now, the Database Menu just isn't there. I can get to the libraries
and
|files through the file system, but don't see any links to the RunSQL
|Scripts dialog. I can't even find any reference to it in the help
files.
|I did find a link to an IBM web page which shows what options are
|supposed to be available at which releases, and it has a check mark
|under the database section for Creating and Running SQL Scripts.

|
|I thought maybe all the parts didn't get installed, so I ran the setup
|wizard and it seems I have most everything, and the bits I don't have
|are totally unrelated.
|
|
|
|Anyone know what the scoop is ?
|
|
|
|Thanks
