RE: when a ups doesn't help

You'll have to excuse me if I don't sound like an authority. I'm just trying
to figure out what might work but can you reverse the order. Have I5 plugged
into the UPS and the rack power strip plugged separately into the UPS?

UPS was working. The rack power strip failed .
     i5 ---> rack power strip ----> UPS

Is redundant power available on smaller i5's ??
