You could run ls -l in qshell, which returns the file sizes. ls -lR torecurse directories

ls -lR /qdls/* when run from the root will return the sizes of all thefiles in any directory under qdls. ls -l /qdls/* will only return thetop level. You'll need a script to add them up though if you want atotal. Awk is great for that.
