The default for CRTDSPF is to create the display file with the same CCSID as the device. Have you also tried to change the CHRID parameter on CRTDSPF to CHRID(*JOBCCSID) when you compile? The issue here is that some of your display device CCSIDs do not match the CCSID in your job. Things have to be consistent. Also, what emulator are you using? I have found that Mochasoft TN5250 displays a copyright symbol (©) as an X, for some reason. That does not happen with Rumba. Francis Lapeyre IS Dept. Programmer/Analyst Stewart Enterprises, Inc. I changed my device description CHRID from "697 297" to "697 500" and created the menu again with CHRID(*DEVD) but the result is the same. I checked the DSPF CCSID after creating the menu and it is still "297". Anymore ideas ?
