IMHO, this is an organization being fronted by M$ to migrate AS/400 customers to M$. What they are doing might be legal (I am not a lawyer), but might be irresponsible, or without integrity, or just good marketing for the Evil Empire. They might disagree with me, and I welcome their comment in public . I am recently seeing some low end customers squandering money on trying to move to M$, with few succeeding. Those that do succeed seem to do it a greater expense, but won't admit the fault. (My bottom line here is that aggregated among customers [mostly low end - not my speciality], more money is spend with less reward. Admittedly, some do hit a home run, but don't but lottery tickets; I invest.) However, my current thought is that they are doing nothing good for our platform, the best in the world! On the other hand, IBM does not have sufficient focus on the low end, as the server capabilities increase, trying to woo us from our wife's (of many years) to mistresses (younger and possibler sexier). Hey, is it better, or do we lose the value of experience and maturity? What does it mean to our businesses?
