The emails themselves are pretty clearly spam, but the product is good. In a nutshell, Craig Pelkie demonstrates the basics of connecting Microsoft .NET applications to the iSeries database. The workshop includes step-by-step hands-on examples that work well. I highly recommend it. It won't teach you how to do much .NET programming, but can be taken even if you don't know any .NET, and may be a good way to dip your toes into that pond.
