As I reflect on this outsourcing situation I try to think back to when it really started. Was it not the headhunters in our business who wanted more H1 Visas so they could make a better profit and then proceeded to look at off shore as a direct source of more cheap labor. The "suits" did not instigate it but merely are follow suit when it became in vogue. This was followed by the IBM's, Dell, Bellsouth and big Daddy Gates who sent the 1st tier customer support to the Asian Rim. Maybe ultimately it's us techies that were the straw on the camel's back by not keeping our talents high and our prices reasonable. The medical world is now facing the same problem. Greed is not good but try telling that to the 20 to 30 year set.
