Trying to use a date field as output in a subfile record. Physical file
specifies DATFMT(*USA), but in this subfile, it must be displayed with
DATFMT(*JOB), taking up two less characters.

In display file, field is defined w/ REFFLD from physical file. SDA, as far
as I can tell, does not enable you to specify the DATFMT override. So, I go
into SEU to enter this. Compiles fine. Call up SDA again, field showing 10
positions, instead of 8. Do a STRSDA OPTION(3) to test; the date field
shows up as "00/00/00", but the field right after it, positioned one space
after the end of the date field, does not appear. This leads me to believe
that the display is acting like the date field is still taking 10 positions,
and the resulting overlap causes the next field to not be displayed.

Am I missing something on this? We're on v5r2.

TIA,
Dan
