I've got a direct monitor exception handler in a C program (i.e.,

 #pragma exception_handler(foo, 0, 0, _C2_MH_ESCAPE)
                    ii = BAR(baz);
 #pragma disable_handler

where BAR is an external program call, and foo is a procedure:

 void foo(_INTRPT_Hndlr_Parms_T *parms) {
       printf("external call to BAR failed\n");
       failedBAR1 = 1;
       failedBAR2 = 1;
 }

The handler is obviously tripping, but the exception is still crashing the program. Can anybody tell me what's missing?
