Since we are looking at upgrading our 3581 LTO-2 to a compatible LTO-3 drive, I would be interested to see the difference between a standard one and one that supports encryption. If less than the Decru device, then that is the way to go. Wait and see again. They were about 25K. The NetApps one only supported Fibre Channel. They said IBM diverge to much from the SCSI standard on their SCSI interface to a 3580/3581 drive. The Decru was more flexable. So my original comment was that I thought BRMS w/ coprocessor would have sufficed. I guess that still would have been too great of a burden on the main processor by what I get from some of the other comments.
