<snip> So which is it? COMMON first, or LUG's first? As an extremely vocal opponent of the COMMON Regional Events the first time around, I have decided to remain neutral and adopt a wait and see approach. At least until a regional event that conflicts with an OMNI event gets scheduled. </snip> Answer: Neither is first. If there is a LUG in the area and is actively working to provide content, I:E: Omni, COMMON will work with them. It is a partnership. I was involved as a board member of WMCPA when the first regional events started popping up. My reaction was the same as yours, all COMMON wanted back then was the profits. Not true today. The focus has shifted and there are some of us left that remember that first abortive attempt by COMMON. The old way is not the focus, nor the desire of the organization, partnership is. Look at what happened with Skip's sessions all around the country. Very successful sessions, great speaker, well attended, and the LUGs that worked with COMMON were happy. The proof is in the actions. Jim
