You're right! Wow - I never tried specifically I guess.
You could also do a CHGPF and set the maximum members, but I get the
impression that other changes should be stopped also.

Then I would like to know if someone does have an idea of how to stop
members being added or other changes, if ALCOBJ doesn't work.

That's what I thought too ... but when I tried it, I was able to add a
member to the file from another job.
