You could just have a front end RPG program that calls up a screen that
allows to enter the library name, the user can press enter to have the
program validate that the file does not already exist, then the user
pressed F6 to submit the job to batch to run. The CL that runs in batch
can then create the library and copy the files and/or objects to this
new library. If you are using CRTDUPOBJ, be sure the parm for DATA =
*YES.....I think the default might be *NO.

Subject: CL program

Let me describe what I'm trying to do. I'm sure it's pretty simple for
anyone who knows CL.

I need to create a library with the month-end name (i.e. after January
month-end, I'd need a JAN2006 library) that will contain 10 files which
I copy into it. I will need to do this every month as part of our
month-end process. I assume it will have to subtract several days from
today's date and pull the month and year from that date in case
month-end is not run on the last day of the month Is there a simple CL
program to do this.
