In case Chris is interested, I just started working w/NFS and it's easy to 
install get up and running and once it's in place nothing much needs to be done 
w/it.  A good backup option, or so it seems.

Chris, can you use NFS? iSeries can be a very nice client or server for this. 
Then you simply mount the NFS system in the IFS of the iSeries just copy your 
files to the mounted folder instead of where they go now - no FTP or nuttin' 
needed - they just get there. iSeries can also see Windows servers using 
Windows 
networking, but it is pretty poor performing. NFS is much better.
